Two Hours And Fourty Five Minutes Of My Life

We saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End tonight. I am sad it is over, meaning the trilogy itself. But JESUS! It was three fucking hours long! But I love Johnny Depp, and I truly truly love Johnny Depp in eye-liner. Well worth it. Basically, I was so saddened when Elizabeth didn't end up with Jack, and she married Will. I was, however, delighted by the fact that Will died and was subsequently brought back by the stabbing of Davy Jones' heart and thus becoming captain of the Flying Dutchman. For the first time in the series actually, I kind of dug Will. He was a liar and a manipulator, and starting to assume many of the qualities I love about Jack, although Jack never would have REALLY done anything that would have caused the demise of Elizabeth. It might also help that Orlando Bloom has put on a bit of muscle and isn't quite as lanky as in years' past.

Overall, the first one will always be the best, it can stand on it's own without the other two. The final part is definitely next in line, as it felt like Dead Man's Chest was just a segue into this one and definitely could not stand on it's own because it was not meant to. And who knows, the way this one ended left a lot of possibilities and yes, after the credits roll there is a scene at the very end. It's ten years later, with Elizabeth and their son standing on a cliff, watching for Will to return for his one day on shore away from the Dutchman. Luckily he is sans tentacles, as he actually does his job in ferrying those who die at sea to the 'other side' and then is not entirely cursed.

Also, I MUST have the movie poster for Pirates 3. It's simply STUNNING.

So I finally saw Pirates. I thought that if Will captains the flying dutchman for ten years and his love is still waiting for him then he is released and can come ashore for good.... like the curse is broken. That's what I read somewhere online. I like that ending better. Because I love her and Will together :) but that's just me.

Well if that is the case then okay. I stopped paying attention at the end whenever Johnny Depp wasn't on camera. If they're together I supposed that's acceptable, but Elizabeth/Jack is sooooo much cooler than Elizabeth/Will. Or so I think anyway.
